Arctic Monkeys - Whatever people say I am, That's what I'm not.

Being brutally honest, I was not expecting much from this album just because i'm fairly ignorant on the Arctic Monkeys ( Or I was at least ), what a pleasant surprise!  I was expecting something very plain and generic, sure it's a little poppy but it's not bad pop by any means.  I believe my favorite song out of the album has to be When the Sun Goes Down, although this was a very hard choice to make. I was picking a favorite then changing after each track changed! Being my first experience with the Arctic Monkeys, I highly recommend this album to anyone; and fans of rock, pop, or indie will enjoy this. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this album.

Aphex Twins - Drukqs

This Album, In my own opinion is the best album that Richard has put out.  Right off the bat you get hit with instant creativity from the song Jynweythek which was actually recorded on a real piano by placing microphones along the internals of the body.  This album beside the fact that it's Aphex Twin ( No bias here, nope ) I would definitely say would have to be my favorite ambient/experimental album that I've listened to.  It has not received the best critic scores, but If you check out how the fans actually feel about it you'll see it was most definitely well received.

Alcest - Souvenirs d'un autre monde

What can I say; every full length a band puts out always really has an impact on how they really turn out and this is definitely a GOOD impact.  Alcest with this album definitely established their name in shoegaze.  The first track Printemps  Émeraude ( which I believe with my minor education in french would be Spring green, or Green springtime.. something like that) starts out far different than you would expect from the album art. It's starts out with a very high gain guitar which most normally wouldn't be associated with peaceful, but this music really is the epitome of peaceful in my own opinion.  This is the first album I heard from them and definitely set me into being a fan. Highly recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of shoegaze or black metal or just looking to try something new.

Genre: Shoegaze, Black Metal, Ambient
